Belgrade to host SE European Oil and Gas Conference

The 2011 South East European Oil and Gas Conference will open on Friday, for the first time in Serbia, the organizers have announced.

Managers of the world’s largest oil companies and consortiums are going to present their plans regarding oil and gas pipelines and discuss rapid changes in the region’s oil industry in order to promote investments, while stressing the critical issue of the safety of Europe’s energy supply.

Serbia’s role in the present and future economic trends in the region will also be an important topic.

Key figures of the oil industry will take part in the conference, like company executives and financial experts from the region’s of the Caspian Sea, Persian Gulf and Mediterranean.

Serbia’s Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic is going to make the opening statement. Other participants will include Minister of Environment of Macedonia Abdilaqim Ademi, Chairman of Serbia’s Petroleum Committee Petar Škundric, Srbijagas General Director Dusan Bajatovic and CEO of Greece’s Public Gas Corporation Harry Sachinis.

The event is organized by Energy Stream CMG GmbH and TGI International Group.
