Chinese government approves a privileged loan of $300 million to Serbia for Kostolac power plant

Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic yesterday stated that that the Chinese government has approved a privileged loan of $300 million to Serbia, for the revival of the existing and the construction of new plants at Kostolac thermal power plant.

Dacic told the press at the Palace of Serbia that he was informed of this by Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China He Guogiang.

Following a meeting with the Chinese delegation, headed by Guogiang, Dacic said that the economic relations between the two countries have been constantly on the rise, voicing his expectation that Chinese companies will keep investing in infrastructure, privatisation and the construction of new production facilities in Serbia.
