European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek said on Thursday in Belgrade that the EU doors are “wide open to Serbia”.
But ork still has to be done in implementing reformsm, he noted.
Serbia’s relations with the European Union are excellent and we are looking forward to its membership in the EU, Buzek said during a debate on the role of the European Parliament in European integrations.
Buzek believes that the current financial crisis will not affect the continued EU enlargement and expressed his conviction that the crisis will be overcome by the time the EU gets its budget for 2014 to 2020.
Buzek stressed the significance of regional cooperation for further integration and said that Serbia has to achieve visible and concrete results in its dialogue with Priština.
