October inflation in Serbia 0.4 percent

October inflation in Serbia totaled 0.4 percent according to the consumer price index.
It added up to 8.7 percent on the inter-annual level, the Statistical Office released on Friday.
In the first ten months of the year, inflation rate in Serbia reached 6.8 percent, the release states.
Highest price rises in October relative to September were recorded with shoes and clothing (1.3 percent), furniture and maintenance (1 percent), food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.7 percent), restaurant and hotel prices (0.3 percent) and expenses for flats, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.2 percent).
Prices dropped in the areas of transport (0.2 percent) and education (0.1 percent), while the prices of other products and services did not change considerably.
Consumer price index is defined as a measure of an average change in retail prices of goods and services for personal consumption.
