On the Vardar will build 12 mini hydropower plants

On the river Vardar from Skopje to the border with Greece, a distance of 200 kilometers will be built 12 mini hydropower plants (HPP).

The project is called “Vardar Valley “ is what I was yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Macedonia, the Chinese Development Bank and the International Corporation for Water and Energy of China, reports today Time list.

The Macedonian government will participate in the project with about 15 percent of the funds and the rest will provide the Chinese Development Bank.

The paper said that the value of the project of building a mini hydro–power plant 1.5 billion euros. The Memorandum provides that the first decree in the year and a half feasibility study, after which would follow the design.

The whole job should be completed in 10 to 15 years. Per year to 3,000 persons were employed directly and indirectly about 20,000.
