Serbian president to visit Ukraine on Nov. 10-11

Serbian President Boris Tadic will visit Ukraine on November 10-11, 2011, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oleksandr Dykusarov said at a briefing on Tuesday that during his visit, Tadic would meet with Ukraine’s leaders.

“During the visit, it is planned to discuss the state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest, in particular, ways to deepen the political dialogue, intensify trade, economic and investment cooperation, and strengthen cultural and humanitarian relations,” he said.

Dykusarov also noted that during the visit, the sides would discuss ways to deepen the trade and economic component of bilateral relations, in particular, the participation of representatives of both sides in the implementation of joint projects in energy, industry, agriculture, construction and architecture of transport, as well as the involvement of Ukrainian and Serbian enterprises in privatization processes taking place in Serbia and Ukraine.

During this visit, it is also planned to sign a number of bilateral documents concerning cooperation in the defense sector, the transportation of passengers and cargo by road, and concerning cooperation between the foreign ministries of both countries.

Dykusarov said that during the visit, it was also planned to hold a Ukrainian-Serbian business forum in Kyiv. In addition, on November 10-11, Kyiv will host the fourth meeting of the Ukrainian-Serbian intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
