Serbia’s MK Group Takes Over Carnex Meat Producer and Processor

MK Group d.o.o., a Serbian holding company focused on agribusiness, has taken over Carnex AD, a meat producer and processor, the group said, without disclosing the terms of the agreement.
MK Group, which is also bidding for Greece’s Hellenic Sugar Co., plans to increase Carnex’s output and foreign sales, it said in an e-mailed statement. Vrbas-based Carnex posted 237.7 million dinar ($3.1 million) in net income last year on 5.24 billion dinar in sales.
