Sweden offers full support to Serbia in obtaining EU candidate status on December 9

Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Bozidar Djelic spoke with Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt about bilateral relations and Serbia’s further steps in the process of European integration.
A statement by the Office of the Deputy Prime Ministers says that Bildt confirmed that Sweden will offer full support to Serbia to obtain EU candidate status on 9 December and for the start of accession negotiations next year, provided that the conditions outlined in the European Commission’s recommendation are fulfilled.
