TENT plans investment of €1.1bn in the next five years

Thermal power plant “Nikola Tesla” (TENT) from Obrenovac will present Development Strategy of the Company at the International Energy Fair in Belgrade, thus planning the investment of 1.1bn in the next five years.

General Manager of the Company, Mr. Petar Kneževic, will speak on the first day of the fair, 12 October, about projects of modernization and revitalization of the existing thermal power plants, the expected effects of these investments as well as the planned environmental projects by 2017.

Deputy Manager of TENT, Mr. Ðordi Biljanovski, will on the same day present the results of the last year’s revitalization of the unit A6- announced the company.

Revitalization and the power increase of the unit six is one of the most complex technical undertakings that have ever been done in the Electric Power Industry of Serbia, and after nearly a year of operation, the unit whose power has been increased from 308MW to 348MW has been achieving excellent production and technical results.

Gained experiences but also the effects of investment in the Unit A6 served to experts of TENT as a basis for future similar projects which are to be done in the next five years.

Mr. Milan Petkovic, Manager of System Improvement at TENT, will speak about preparations for the flue gas desulfurization project at TENT A in Obrenovac which will be realized from the loan of €250 million from the Japanese government and which has so far been the largest environmental investment in Serbia.

This company will also present a number of other technical and environmental projects such as construction of waste water treatment plant at TENT B, major overhaul on 600MW unit at TENT B1 where the  the main activity is reconstruction of electrostatic precipitators.

Many domestic and foreign companies that have a long successful business relationship with TENT and numerous local contractors will have presentations at the stand of the company, as well as the French Alstom, Polish Rafako, the Swiss consulting company SGS etc.
